I have been a speciality judge of the dalmatian breed under The Danish Kennel Club since 1994. Though I regard a good temper as the first and most important ability of a dalmatian being a family dog, the breed is reconized by its unique appearance, and that is a beauty, which I value immensely.
The rank of the different dogs at a show is a question of taste and individual stile of the judge, and the build of the dogs as well as their spots and movements play a role to overall impression. As a judge I like to promote harmonious dogs with a appealing expression, sharp lines in the building of their body and especially an elegant, flouting way of running is important to me. |
